Welcome to Year Three!

Moving to Year 3 is an exciting time as the children are joining KS2. With this move comes extra opportunities, experiences and responsibilities.

Along with the rest of the school, all our work is cross-curricular. This means that national curriculum is taught with a topic linking all the subjects together. In Year 3, the children will cover some exciting topics including the Stone Age and The Romans! We will look at a range of text types in literacy from diaries to adventure stories and from poetry to instructions.

Maths is also taught using a mastery approach where each child is expected to achieve and understand each topic deeply.
