About International Week
Each year as a school we hold an off timetable week in the Autumn Term to celebrate the countries and cultures of the world. During this week, each year group looks in more depth at a specific country and its culture. This gives the children a chance to develop a deeper understanding of a particular country and its society. This covers physical and human aspects of the country’s geography and a variety of curriculum-based activities are planned in order to provide an engaging and interesting week of learning. During this week the children learn about art, music and culture in different countries and the school invites in visitors to present this to the children in various interactive workshops. The week culminates in an international food tasting day on Friday and parents are invited in to school at the end of the week to see the work the children have been doing .
